This is heritage checks done the handloom way. Our Handwoven Khadi Cotton Scottish Checks brings that classic, slightly vintage grid, but with the warmth and texture only khadi can give. The blue base is balanced with yellow and white checks, bold enough to look intentional, clean enough to stay timeless. With an 84/84 thread count, it’s breathable and easy on skin, with a touch of natural structure that stitches beautifully into shirts, kurtas, co-ords, dresses, and even laid-back jackets if you want to get experimental. And because it’s handwoven, the checks feel alive, not flat. That’s the difference. Craft-wise, this is steady loom work too, woven at roughly 4 meters per 8-hour artisan shift. And a detail we take seriously: this fabric is woven from start to finish by the same artisan. That continuity is why the weave feels cohesive and why the final cloth has a certain integrity you can’t replicate in segmented production.
