About This Piece

This is red with presence. A bright red, natural dyed handwoven cotton, finished with mini blooming lotus bootis in black, white, green, and yellow, all crafted in a traditional Jamdani weave. The motifs are woven into the fabric, not printed, so the detailing feels dimensional and artisanal up close. The natural dye gives the red a richer, more organic depth, not that flat synthetic brightness. And with a fine 100/120 tread count, the fabric stays breathable and light, while still looking polished when stitched. Jamdani is slow craft by design. This fabric weaves at roughly 2 meters per 8-hour artisan shift, with each booti placed by hand on the loom, one by one. That’s the kind of luxury you can actually justify. And a detail we take seriously: this fabric is woven from start to finish by the same artisan. That continuity is why the weave feels cohesive and why the final cloth has a certain integrity you can’t replicate in segmented production.
