About This Piece

Clean base, bold motif, serious craft. This original khadi white handwoven cotton features a black bird motif with a red eye, created in an authentic Dhakai Jamdani weave. The motif is woven into the fabric, not printed, so it has depth and a subtle texture that makes it feel unmistakably artisanal. With a fine 100/150 tread count, the cloth is light, refined, and intricately finished, perfect for statement kurtas, elegant drapes, dupattas, blouses, and pieces that are meant to be kept. And because this is motif Jamdani, it takes time: roughly 1 to 1.5 meters per 8-hour artisan shift, placed motif by motif on the loom. A detail we take seriously: woven from start to finish by the same artisan. That continuity is what gives the fabric its cohesive character and clean finish. Limited edition: only 10 meters in stock. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.
